Poo and its key role in nature
Dung is an essential link in the cycle of life. Hundreds of species of plants and animals depend on it directly. With year-round grazing, the larvae also survive the winter. However, if cattle and horses have been treated with medication, this is highly detrimental to the insects and soil organisms that break down their manure and make it available to plants. The benefits of dung for nature are shown in this illustration.
